In order to become a licensed hunter in the United States, you must complete a Hunter Safety Course approved by your state’s fish and wildlife agency. Once you have completed the course and passed the final exam, you will be issued a Hunter Education Card.
The card is valid for life in some states, but in others it may expire after a certain number of years. For example, in California the Hunter Education Card expires after 10 years, while in Florida it is valid for the lifetime of the cardholder.

In order to renew your Hunter Education Card, you must first log into the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission website. After logging in, you will be able to renew your card by clicking on the “Renew License/Permit” button.
In short, a hunter education card does not expire. Hunters are encouraged to keep their cards with them while hunting as proof of completion of the course.
